Day 1. Arusha to Ngorongoro

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Ngorongoro Crater We then pass through the tree-lined centre of Mto wa Mbu, a colorful, bustling Maasai trading post and Karatu with unique views of the high altitude rain forest surrounding the ring. The road then climbs onto the highlands which edge of Great Rift Valley.

Day 2. Ngorongoro 
After breakfast we have a full day in the crater with picnic lunch. The crater with its unforgettable blue-tinted slopes, swampy grassland, lakes, and woods, is home to 30,000 animals, many of which you will see today. Lion, hyena, cheetah, the rare black rhinos, zebra, warthog, buffalo, wildebeest and abundant bird life, can all be seen.
In the late afternoon we ascend the crater, and enjoy the views from the high ridge that borders it. On one side a last sight of the crater and lake, on the other below us spreads the fertile Karatu from the high ridge that borders it. On one side a last sight of the crater and lake.

Day 3. Ngorongoro – Serengeti Distance: 145 km (3 hrs)

After breakfast, depart to Serengeti stopping on the way at Olduvai Gorge, the archaeological site made famous by Louis & Mary Leakey. There is a game drive en-route before we check in at our hotel.

Day 4. Serengeti
After an early breakfast we have a full day’s game drive in the Serengeti, we take a picnic lunch in the bush to maximize game viewing time. An early start gives us the best chance of seeing the big predators such as lion, leopard and perhaps even a cheetah around the watering places. Later in the day we will explore the plains and the rocky outcrops where animals often rest.

Day 5.  Serengeti – Lake Manyara Distance: 205 km (4 hrs)

After breakfast depart to Manyara. Lunch and afternoon game drive in this superb scenic park set around Lake Manyara, most famous for the tree climbing lions. Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge/Lake Manyara Hotel/E-Unoto Lodge (FB)

Day 6. Lake Manyara – Arusha Distance: 130 km (2 hrs. 30 min)

This morning after breakfast you have the option of a Cultural Excursion to a nearby traditional Maasai Village, where you can meet Maasai and discuss their way of life and customs. You can also go for a nature walk and picnic with Maasai guides. Or if you prefer you can simply relax by the pool.  After lunch we will head back to Arusha.
